GRADE LEVEL FIRST AID KIT
The Comprehensive School Safety (CSS) Monitoring Tool was designed by DLSP to check on our compliance to the various DRRM standards. Pillar 2 – Disaster Risk Management of the DepEd DRRM Standards states, “School has available, accessible, and adequate first aid kit in every instructional classroom”. To partially comply with this, we will be providing each Grade Level a kit that could be used in emergency cases when there’s a need to perform first aid. Please remember that first aid is used to minimize injury and future disability. Patients have to be brought to the clinic for further assistance after performing first aid.
EMSAO shall conduct an inventory of the kit on a quarterly basis. However, please notify us immediately when you run out of supplies.
ECO PET REMINDERS:
The Eco PET, which was signed into an institutional policy last August 2017 aims to help the school reach its target of becoming a zero-waste institution. Eco PET gives us a place to segregate and put plastics instead of throwing them as residual wastes.
The following are some announcements and reminders in the implementation of the policy:
- The deadline for submission of Eco PET for the 3rd quarter is extended until January 30, 2018
- For the class to qualify for the award, each student must contribute at least 1 Eco PET
- The following incentives will be given to the champions per grade level: civilian day, free day, P500
- To help facilitate the formation of habit, trash bins will be gradually removed from all classrooms and offices to encourage the entire community to use Eco PET in keeping residual wastes.
- Beginning January 30, 2018, bins for residual (red) and recyclable (blue) wastes will be removed
- Only bins for biodegradable (green) wastes will be placed in strategic areas in the campus
- Complete set of trash bins (red, blue, green) will be provided at the canteen area
- Where to dispose other wastes:
- All offices must have a box for un-crumpled papers. The box must be properly labeled. Once it is full, offices must turn them over to the Bioman (GSD Staff in charge of MRF).
- No food wastes must be wrapped in plastics or papers and thrown into the bins. Food leftover must be disposed only into the designated leftover bin at the canteen
- Solid wastes in bulk (such as boxes and packaging) shall not be thrown into the trash bins to avoid spillage and scattering. Concerned offices must forward these to the Bioman
Together, let us do our share towards achieving an almost-zero-waste St. Joseph School – La Salle!
