School Bulletin – February 22, 2019
Today is the Feast Day of St. Margaret of Cortona
GOD’S WORD FOR TODAY:
The keys of the kingdom of heaven Matthew 16:13-19
REFLECTION:
At an opportune time Jesus tests his disciples with a crucial question: Who do men say that I am and who do you say that I am?
PRAYER:
“Lord Jesus, I profess and believe that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. You are my Lord and my Savior. Make my faith strong like Peter’s and give me boldness to speak of you to others that they may come to know you personally as Lord and Savior and grow in the knowledge of your great love.”
Advanced happy birthday to the following members of the community:
Ms. Nikki Ann Tembrevilla – February 25,

From the Infirmary
February is Philippine Heart Month (Theme: “ Mahalin ang Pusong Nagmamahal”)
HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS OUTLINED BY THE AMERCIAN HEART ASSOCIATION SO YOU CAN START MAKING POSITIVE CHANGES IN YOUR BODY THIS YEAR.
- Stop Smoking
Cigarette smokers have a higher risk of developing several chronic disorders. These include
atherosclerosis, the hardening and narrowing of arteries, among others. Many studies say that
cigarette smoking is a major cause of coronary heart disease which can lead to a heart attack.
- Choose a Healthy Diet
The food you eat and the amount of intake can affect other controllable factors: cholesterol levels, blood
pressure, weight, among others. Choose nutrient-rich foods, or those that have vitamins, minerals and fiber,
but are lower in calories. Choose a diet with vegetables, fruits and whole grains, low-fat dairy products,
poultry, fish, legumes, non-tropical vegetable oils and nuts, among others.
Limit the intake of sweets, sugar-sweetened beverages and red meat.
- Be Physically Active Everyday
Be physically active every day. Research has shown that 3 to 4 sessions of exercise per week, which last an
average of 40 minutes per session, can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and can help keep
your weight at a healthy level. If you’re doing nothing now, start out slow. Even 10 minutes at a time may offer
some health benefits. Studies show that people who have achieved even a moderate level of fitness are much
less likely to die early than those with a low fitness level.
Random Blood Sugar Test is now available. Have your blood sugar test Two (2) hours after meal.
